Breitling To orbit 3

The Breitling Orbiter 3 is a balloon of the type Rozière, the first to have made a round the world tour without stopover in 1999, controlled by Bertrand Piccard and Brian Jones.

Conceived and manufactured by the firm Cameron (Bristol-board, England), it measures, inflated, 55 m in height for a volume of 18  500 cubic meters of Helium.

The structure of the nacelle is in Kevlar and in Carbon fiber, it is pressurized to be able to fly at maximum altitudes about 12  000 Mr.

This nacelle is visible with the National Air and Space Museum of Washington DC, the United States.
