Brega

The brega is a Musique Brésil ienne coming from the north of the country. It today is largely adopted in the Brazilian company and extends gradually in the other areas from the country.

The brega is a music above all Romantique and for a few years has discovered a new turning with the appearance of pop-som (delivery popi-som) or more simply “tecno-brega” more appreciated Brazilian young people. Brega was a great success of the end Années 1950 until the beginning of the Années 1960 in a more romantic context with for principal celebrity Waldick Soriano, Anísio Silva, Nelson Ned, Agnaldo Timóteo etc

Caution: the adjective " brega" has as a translation “old-fashioned”, particularly in the South where this term shows the vieillotte variety, old-fashioned.
