Breakcore

The breakcore is a Musical genre within the Electronic music which mixes elements of drum' low, hardcore Techno, Illbient and “IDM”, the whole powdered with breaks in rhythm and sporadic references to the Happy hardcore, the Rap, the Funk, the noise etc to give a sound directed Breakbeat, aggressive, very dynamic, not very monotonous, often tinted notes of humor and derision, of samples of voice…

The style started to emerge in the middle of the Années 1990, when artists Techno hardcore started to be wearied to always hear the same sounds of boxes at rate/rhythm - in particular Roland (TR-303,505,909…)- on throbbing rates/rhythms 4/4, nauseated by the commercial elements and very “kids” of the gabber Dutch, the ceaseless attacks of the Speedcore… Some then felt the need to take as a starting point the rates/rhythms Jungle and Acid for the beginning of the year 1990 to push them to the extreme.

These artists start to include more station-wagons and cuts, applying the extreme concepts of the hardcore and the industrial Musique hardest to the “diagram” Drum and low; freeing themselves from the influence of the scene turnip and adding a degree of complexity to it, the breakcore is a kind suitable to attract the fans of music disgusted by this same scene turnip and/or Free party. For this reason, the “public” breakcore is generally composed extreme fans of musics of all horizons - Grindcore, industrial Musique, noise, “IDM” (Intelligent Dance Music), Punk

It does not take place there specific of origin of the breakcore, but one can quote Berlin, the south of London, Bristol, Newcastle, the Australia, Ghent (Belgium), Milwaukee, the Wisconsin, Rennes in France, Winnipeg in Canada…, like principal zones of influence.
