Brazilian Communist party

The Brazilian Communist party (Partido Comunista Brasileiro) was born from the scission, the February 18th 1962, of the Communist party of Brazil (Partido Comunista C Brasil). The Brazilian Communist party continued to follow the historical leader of the Brazilian communist movement, Luís Carlos Prestes. It took the initials PCB which were that of Partido Comunista C Brasil, this last having transformed to it his into PCdoB .
