Braunau amndt Inn
Braunau amndt Inn is an Austrian small town, located at 60 km in the north of Salzburg, at the German border . Adolf Hitler had been born there the April 20th 1889, his/her father Alois was there then controller of the customs .
In 1989, the mayor Gerhard Skiba made set up in front of the native house of the dictator a monument against the war and the Fascisme. Since 1992, association for the modern history' organizes the Journées of the Modern history of Braunau ( Braunauer Zeitgeschichte-Tage ) and, since 1998, the annual gatherings of the Austrian Service in memory of the holocaust take place with Braunau.
In 2000, the local newspaper Braunauer Rundschau initiated the petition “Braunau puts a sign” (Braunau setzt ein Zeichen).
The project of the House of the Responsibility in Braunau is envisaged since 2000.
In 2006, eleven Stolpersteine , steles commemorating the victims of the Nazism, were affixed by the artist Gunter Deming.

Live Die zweistündige Feier, die um 10.00 Uhr beginnt, wird in ORF 2,3sat und im Bayerischen Fernsehen sowie auf Radio operator Oberösterreich übertragen. Am Abend wird im Alten Dom von Linz eine Jägerstätter-Oper aufgeführt. Am 28. Oktober findet in der Pfarrkirche von St Radegund, dem Geburtsort of Widerstandskämpfers, eine Eucharistiefeier statt.
