Brassemer
The four species of brassemers , or duck-steamer , constitute the kind Tachyeres .
Ils lives in the south of the zone néotropicale (Patagonie, Ground of fire, Falkland Islands).
These birds attend coastal water from which they seldom move away since only the Brassemer de Patagonie is able to fly on long distances. These ducks are generally aggressive. The name brassemer comes from their practice to strike water with their legs when they are continued.
