Branko Mladenović

Branko Mladenović, (into Serb Cyrillic БранкоМладеновић , literally wire of Mladen ) is the founder of the dynasty Branković, old family of the Serb nobility born at the 14th century. It is originating in Ohrid.

After the death of King Stefan Milutin, its two sons Stefan Uroš III Dečanski and Konstantin (born different mothers) are committed in a fratricidal fight recovering the capacity, Mladen being combined with Stefan Dečanski. After the victory of this last, in 1322, Mladen was indicated Duc of Trebinje (current Bosnia) and Dračevice (current Croatia), two fields of the Serb Kingdom, in thanks of its engagement at the time of the battle.

Four years later, in 1326, the Duke Mladen dies: it is his/her son Branko Mladenovic who will found the dynasty which bears its name today.
