Brand New Heavies
Brand New Heavies ( BNH ) is a British group of Acid jazz and Alternative hip-hop, formed in 1985 in Ealing, in Suburbs of London. In the beginning, an instrumental group of Rare groove, BNH acquires a great reputation on the scenes of the clubs Londoner and sign very quickly for Cooltempo at the time or the Acid house replaces the Rare groove in the clubs.
The principal members of the group are Jan Kincaid, Simon Bartholomew and Andrew Levy.
Brand New Heavies selected its name after the signing of its first contract of recording while taking as a starting point the small pocket of individual of James Brown on which he is written: " Minister off New Super Heavy Funk".
