Brahman

The Brahman (brāhmaṇa, ब्राह्मण, related to crowned ) designates a member of one of the four varna (varṇa, वर्ण, “color”), the priests, the teachers and the men of law.

Castes Brahmans
One can gather the majority of the Brahmanes castes of the Indian continent in two regional groups important like made Kalhana in his work Rajatarangini .
They can also be grouped in agreement with the Sampradaya (philosophical school):
- Smartha
- Vaishnava
- Madhva
- Advaita
- Vishishtadvaita
