Brahma is a Bière Brésil ienne, initially manufactured by Companhia Cervejaria Brahma founded in 1888. The mark belongs today to the multinational InBev.

The Brahma Beer arrived at Brazil in 1808 brought back to Europe by the Portuguese royal family fleeing the Napoleonean invasion.

The name of Brahma was selected in connection with Hindu God, venerated close to the lake Poushkar, whose crowned water, once one bathes there, is supposed to purify the body of all the sins, whatever they are.
