Brahim Boutayeb
Brahim Boutayeb , Moulay Brahim Boutayeb , (Arab مولايابراهيمبوطيب ), born the August 15th 1967 with Khemisset, is a Moroccan athlete , evolving/moving on medium-distance race.
Biography
Regarded as a runner of 5.000 meters, it is on the distance of the 10.000 meters that it disputes the Olympic Games of 1988 with Seoul. At the time of this race, it first of all follows the Kenyan Kipkemboi Kimeli who left on a very fast rate/rhythm, with times of passage in advance on the world records. At the beginning of the third kilometer, it places an acceleration which enables him to outdistance its rivals. It then easily controls the race to gain the Olympic title.The following seasons, it joins again with the lower distances, evolving/moving of the 1.500 to the 5.000 meters. It is at this distance that it takes part in the Championnats of the world 1991 with Tokyo where it gains a bronze medal. The following year, it takes part in a new Olympiad in Barcelona. It finishes 4th finale of the 5.000, finishing only at 0.75 seconds of the winner, German Dieter Baumann.
After a new participation in world, it gives up the practice of the athletics, being devoted to another sporting practice, the Rallye.
