Bradford

Bradford is a British city located in the Yorkshire of the West (England). Its population is estimated at 295  000 inhabitants (Subway District: 478  800 inhabitants).

Bradford off belongs to a metropolitan area baptized City Bradford .

The city lodges the club Football of Bradford City AFC as well as the club of Rugby to XIII of the Bradford bulldozers.

History

Bradford is located in the valley of “Bradford Beck”, brook tributary of the Aire. During the Industrial revolution, Bradford became a very rich city, world center of the production of Textile S, especially the wool fabric named “worsted”.

In 1847 Bradford became Borough, i.e. city with corporation and Maire. In 1897 it became Cité, with a Lord Mayor .
