History
This village is the birthplace of Pierre de Bréban (1380? - 1428 with Guingamp, Brittany), lord of Landreville, Admiral de France (in the language of the time, Minister for the war) and one of the principal generals of the dolphin, the future Charles VII. The only French admiral having delivered two naval battles against English and having gained them both, after them to have first once overcome, with foot, the battle of the Seven Knights. It was a considerable person at her time, because of its power (its state extended from Bréban with Arc in Barrois while passing by Landreville, that is to say much more than celebrates it lord de Coucy) and of its warlike exploits. With the battle of Azincourt, it ordered the avant-garde and could not convince Boucicault not to attack. He is the inventor, with his accomplice Louis Bourdon (or Bosredon) of the strategy of the war of fortresses, which saved the One hundred Year old war to Charles VII when it was finally taken again after the adventures of Jeanne d' Arc. He is nowadays completely forgotten historians one does not know why. Louis Bourdon, is also put aside a quotation of François Villon.
