The brède mafane ( Acmella oleracea ) still called cress of Para is a herbaceous Plante of the family of the astéracées originating in southernmost America. " The Insolite" Garden; (French Hunter of March 1988).

The name of “brède mafane” concerns the Creole and regional French of Madagascar and the Mascareignes.

Description
