Bowls
The Bowls is a British sport of origin comparable with the Pétanque but practitioner on grass with large asymmetrical balls.
The modern rules of this sport go back to 1848. They are enacted with Glasgow by William Mitchell. The federation “English Bowling Association” is founded in 1903.
The major British competition remains “International Championship” which puts at the catches each year the British national teams.
The first edition of the championships of the world is held in 1966. The championships of the world then are disputed every four years since 1972. In an individual capacities, by two, three and four are allotted among the men and women.
