Bouzonville

Bouzonville ( Busendorf in German) is a common French located in the department of the the Moselle and the basin of life of Moselle-is.

Geography

To 37 km in the North-East of Metz by the secondary Road 3, called the Pearl of Nied , Bouzonville is a chief town of peaceful canton crossed by the low Nied. It is the crossroads many minor roads, most notable being the secondary road 918 which leads Thionville to Sarrelouis.

History

Perhaps the name of the commune comes from Latin Bozonisvilla and would date from XIVe century.

The abbey church Holy-Cross, classified Historic building, as well as the cloister being next to it, comprises elements dating from XIe, XIVe and XVIIe centuries.
