Boutyrskaïa
Boutyrskaïa is a prison on three hectares close to the center town of Moscow to the 45 Novoslobodskaïa Oulitsa which was built in 1771 like barracks for a unit of cossacks.
However, in 1774 already, it accommodated its first prisoner, Iemelian Pougatchev. It was refitted with the beginning of the year 1800 by the architect Matvei Kazakov. Its cells have walls vaults resembling those of the medieval castles.
In 1908 Harry Houdini managed in 28 minutes to be released from its chains, to leave a case closed by a lock and to cross the bars of a cell.
In the years 1990 this prison one of is stocked country with 70 prisoners in cells planned for 20.
The last famous prisoner is Vladimir Gousinski which spent three in June 2000 days there before transferring the property from Gazprom.
An elaborate system of strings makes it possible to open the windows to exchange small objects between the cells.
The authorities put the building on sale, but it is burdened by an inscription on the list with the federal inheritance, in exchange for an equivalent prison in the area of Moscow.
