Bourbre
The Bourbre is a French river, tributary out of left bank of the the Rhone.
Hydrography
It runs in the Département of Isere. It is born around the locality from Burcin, not far from the Lac of Paladru, bathes the commune of Virieu and Bourgoin-Jallieu, then is thrown in the the Rhone upstream of Lyon close to Pont-de-Chéruy.
Hydrology
Bourbre is a rather abundant river. Its flow was observed over one 45 years period (1963-2007), with Tignieu-Jameyzieu, locality of the Département of Isere located at little distance from its outlet in the Rhone (ref.: and). The catchment area of the river is of 703 km ².
The interannual medium flow or module of the river with Tignieu-Jameyzieu is of 7,85 m ³ a second. Bourbre presents seasonal fluctuations of flow moderated, with high waters of winter-spring, from January to May included, carrying the average monthly flows on the level from 9 to 10,5 m ³ a second (with an in February maximum - March), and low waters of summer, July to September, with a monthly minimum of 3,87 in August.
The VCN3 can fall until 1,4 m ³, in the event of dry period quinquennial, which remains rather consequent. Let us recall that the VCN3 is the past minimal quantity or minimal flow over three days consecutive.
The risings can be relatively important, but without common measurement with the affluents of the Rhone emerging downstream from Lyon. The QIX 2 and QIX 5, or flows calculated for a biennial and quinquennial rising are worth respectively 29 and 40 m ³ a second. The QIX 10 or calculated flow of decennial rising is of 48 m ³ a second, the QIX 20 is assembled to 55 m ³, while the QIX 50 is worth 61 m ³ a second (see note).
The recorded maximum instantaneous flow was of 84,6 m ³ a second on October 9th, 1998, while the maximum daily output was of 82,6 m ³ the same day. By comparing these values with the QIX of the river, it appears that this rising was much more important than the calculated rising cinquantennale (QIX 50) and was thus completely exceptional.
Bourbre is a rather abundant river of Piedmont, supplied with sufficient precipitations. The Lame of water past in its catchment area is of 352 millimetres annually, which is slightly higher than the overall average of France, but definitely lower than the average of the totality of the basin of the the Rhone (680 millimetres with Valence). The specific Débit (or Qsp) is of 11,17 liters a second and per square kilometer of basin.
Management of water
The dependant stakes with the management of the water resource on the catchment area of Bourbre were deepened by the actors " inter-agissant" on the territory ( " inter-agissant" by their (S) use (S) of water or aquatic environments or their qualitative impact , in a positive or negative way), within the framework of the installation of a Diagram of Installation and Management of Water (S.A.G.E) … To make WISE, it is " to know, for unit to preserve to share and develop durably the resource in the respect of balances naturels" , according to the principles registered by the laws and payments centralized in the code of the environment. The Local Commission of Water (KEY), authority of dialog (elected, users, administrations), approved the project of WISE in July 2007. This project will be the subject of a consultation of the communities then of a public survey before being opposable (by inter-prefectoral decree remaining to intervene) .
The Mixed trade-union of Installation of the Basin of Bourbre gathers 75 communes is the structure of management of the basin
