Bountiful (Utah)

Bountiful is the seat of the county of Davis, State of the Utah, with the feet of the Montagnes Wasatch, with the the United States. Its population rose with: 41173 inhabitants in 2004, which makes of it the twelfth city of the State. Densité : 396,1  hab/km ² (1  025,6  hab/mi ²). Surface totale : 69  km ² (26,6  semi ²). History

Bountiful is the second locality to be inhabited by Mormon pioneers after Salt Lake City. The 27  September 1847, Perrigrine Sessions and its family settle and found their farm. Others join them and in 1850 33 families live in Sessions Settlement or North Canyon Ward (the two names are then used). The beginnings are marked by confrontations with the Amerindian S.

The current name, which comes from the Livre of Mormon, date of 1855. Bountiful is built-in 1892. Today still the majority of the inhabitants are Mormon. A Mormon temple was devoted in 1995.
