Boumerdes

Boumerdes (Arab: rear RTL بومرداس), old Black Rock during colonization, is a city and Wilaya d' Algérie of Algérie located at about fifty kilometers in the east of Algiers.

Boumerdes is a city of the Algerian littoral. It is located at the edge of the Mediterranean, and close to the mountains of the Djurdjura.

Boumerdes is a university town with in particular the Algerian Petroleum Institute (IAP), National Ex-Institute of Hydrocarbons and Chemistry, National institute of the Productivity and Industrial development, national Ex-Institute of electricity and electronics, Ex-INGM or the National Ex-Institute of Light industries. It includes/understands beautiful beaches which extend to the Fadè city from Boumerdes where are placed most of the teachers of the university of Boumerdes (UMBB).

The Wilaya of Boumerdes includes/understands the Daira your of Dellys, Boudouaou, Bordj Menaiel, Khemis El-Khechna, Thenia, Tidjelabine, If-Mustapha, Isser, Baghlia and Naciria. The wilaya of Boumerdes was touched by the Earthquake of the May 21st 2003.

Will daira of Boudouaou includes/understands the communes of Boudouou, Boudouaou El Bahri, Kharrouba, Ouled Heddadj and Bouzegza Keddara.
