Bouguenel

Bouguenel is a Lieu-dit commune of Saint-Pôtan (Coast-with Armor). Located on the road connecting the borough of Saint-Pôtan to the Guildo, one agrees to indicate under his name the various villages located in this place. The hamlet includes/understands indeed various localities which today form nothing any more but one, namely:

  • Bouguenel
  • the City month
  • the Bush
  • the Pond Hazaie
  • Perray
  • the Moor month
The hamlet, which overhangs the valley of the Guébriand, includes/understands on its grounds the castle of the Bush and its vault (16th century). They is also there that the highest point of the commune (77 m) is, precisely in Perray.

One finds approximately sixty inhabitants in winter there, which makes of it the largest village of the commune after the borough. The population makes more than to double in summer.

If one could find two grocers formerly there, it is primarily the success of its discotheque (the Baron' S Club) which offered to him until its closing in the Années 1980 a certain fame.
