Bougarber
Bougarber /bugarbe/ is a common French, located in the department of the Yrénées-Atlantiques and the area Aquitaine.
Bougarber is a Bastide Béarn ease whose name means Bourg Garbè “borough gerbier”.
Geography
Bougarber extends today beyond the limits from the country house, along the ways perpendicular to the medieval main street. The frame is a little densified along this way. The ditches were filled. Remain in place, the northern door of XIVéme century, rare specimen of the defensive system of the country houses inhabitants of Béarn.The Géüle, affluent of the Gave of Pau, takes its source on the territory of the commune, of which the grounds are also sprinkled by the Uzan, affluent of the Luy de Béarn and Uilhède flows of the Long Aïgue.

History
The name Borc Garber in 1385, Bourgarber in 1625, Bougarber at the 18th century comes from two words of Germanic origin borc /burk/ “borough” and garbè ( garbarius ) derived from garba “sheaf of corn”.
