Boston Common
Boston Common is the oldest public garden of the town of Boston and even of the the United States. It is bordered by the streets Tremont, Beacon, and Charles.
Notable monuments and buildings
- Robert Gould Shaw and 54th RegimentMemorial: monument set up in homage to Robert Gould Shaw which directed a unit made up black soldiers during the American Civil War.
- On Beacon Street, the state house , built within Charles Bulfinch.
