Bosselshausen

Bosselshausen is a common French, located in the department of the the Low-Rhine and the area Alsace. The commune is resulting, on January 1st, 2007, of the défusion of with Kirrwiller.

Could come from the Germanic first name Boswald made up of " Bos" malicious and of " Waldan" to order with in Hausen suffix; houses.

History

A decree of the prefect of the Alsace Area of the December 29th 2006 and published in the official journal the January 23rd 2007, officializes the separation of Bosselshausen and Kirrwiller with retroactive effect at January 1st 2007. This creation makes pass the number of communes to France from 36.685 to 36.686.

The decree of the ministry for the interior of January 23rd, 2007 allots a population of 179 inhabitants to the commune.

Places and monuments

The church current Lutheran of 1891 preserves in the interior part of its side bell-tower-chorus of the elements of the old tower of the 14th century.
