Bosna river
The river Bosna (Cyrillic: Босна ) with its 271 kilometers is one of the longest and important rivers of Bosnia-Herzégovine]. It was named Bosona by the Roman empire.
Course and affluents
The river runs out in the industrial valley of Bosna which lodges approximately a half-million people and which comprises some large localities. Its source names Vrelo Bosne and is at the foot of the mount Igman with the periphery of Sarajevo. The source is one of the tourist attractions most notable of Bosnia-Herzégovine. The river takes the direction of north where it is thrown in the river Save. The river remains exclusively in Bosnia-Herzégovine during all its way. In the Federation of Bosnia-and-Herzégovine, it crosses the cantons of Sarajevo, Zenica-Doboj, Tuzla, and of Posavina. In the Serb Republic of Bosnia, it passes in the Région of Doboj. It crosses the towns of Visoko, Zenica, and Doboj.Its larger affluents are:
