Borzykowa
Borzykowa is a small village of 370 inhabitants (1998) located in the Voïvodie de Łódź. This village remained in the history to have been the theater the June 9th 1210 of a meeting between the ecclesiastical dignitaries Polish and of the Duc S Polish (Lech the White, Conrad Ier de Mazovie, Ladislas Odonic and Henri Ier Bearded the) about the reforms of the Église (in particular the introduction of the celibacy of the priest S) in the archbishop's palace of Gniezno.
The archbishop Henri Kietlicz succeeded in obtaining important Privilège S for the Polish Church:
- the choice of the bishop S by the Church
- the privilege of immunity for the Church (it will be able to have its own courts and will be exempted to pay taxes)
In exchange, Henri Kietlicz intervened with the Pape so that this one interprets the will of Boleslas III the Stop-Chest in the favor of the dukes having granted these privileges.
These privileges will be ratified in a pontifical Bulle of 1211, will be confirmed and extended to Wolbórz in 1215.
