Bort-the-Organ
Bort-the-Organ is a common department of the Corrèze, in the area the Limousin, in France. Its inhabitants is called Bortois and Bortoises.
Geography
The commune is located on the the Dordogne. Its aspect, and that of its close area, were strongly modified by the construction of the hydro-electric stopping, (1952). Several villages, on this occasion, summer absorbed.

- the Stopping of Bort-the-Organ;
- the Castle of Valley, emerging on one of banks of the lake of reserve of the Stopping;
- the Jump-of-the-Willow, impressive canyons on Rhue, upstream of the way-of-iron bridge spanning this river.
Famous people born with Bort-the-Organ
Bort-the-organ is the birthplace of the Philosophe, writer and Encyclopédiste Jean-François Marmontel (1723-1799).In 1914 is born in Bort Marguerite Verdier, more known under the name of Lina Margy, immortal singer of the White Light local wine , deceased in 1973 after beautiful and long career.
The actor Pierre Tornade was born in Bort.
