Borislav Stanković

Borislav Stanković , ( БориславСтанковић ) born the July 9th 1925 with Bihać, is a former player of Bosnian Basket-ball playing for Yugoslavia.

After its career of player within the red Star of Belgrade with which it gains two championships, also taking part in the championship of the world in 1959 with the Yugoslav team, he becomes trainer of the OKK Belgrade, gaining with the passage four championships and will involve also then the Italian team of Cantù

It occupies of many functions to the Yugoslav federation of basketball, within the Olympic national committee. It is especially known for its role of general secretary of FIBA of 1976 to 2002. It thus strongly contributed, with the to commission NBA David Stern with the bringing together of the American broad outline and FIBA,
