Boris Karlov (August 11th 1924 - December 12th 1964) is a Bulgarian Accordéoniste . He was born with Sofia in a family from origin Tzigane. His/her father was chief of an orchestra often diffused on Radio Sofia.

As of his more young age, Boris was impassioned of Folk music. He started by playing of the Ocarina then of the Tamboura in the orchestra of his father. It acquired there the experiment of the harmonic structure of the Bulgarian music.

At 12 years, Boris begins the Accordéon with a simple instrument (Hohner 48 low), and progresses with an instrument more important to 120 low. Finally, it made make a Scandalli accordion to measure.

In the Years 1950, Boris was very demand in Bulgaria, but also in Yugoslavia and Austria. It gave many concerts.

It developed a new style of play with the accordion, based mainly on sentences short and simple, but very fast, often in an irregular rate/rhythm , and by reproducing the ornamentations of traditional instruments Bulgarian such as the Gaïda (Cornemuse) and the Kaval.

He dies in round with Kraljevo, of a renal infection.
