Borel-Maisonny method
The Méthode of reading of Suzanne Borel-Maisonny is published initially in 1949 then in 1956 in the Monthly bulletin of the Company Alfred Binet under the name of Méthode of reading - Atlas , finally in 1960 in the first volume of Langage oral and written . It was intended to the children initially presenting a Hypoacousie, a Dyslexie or a Dysorthographie. The first part of this work entitled Lecture comprises a first chapter How to learn how to read which presents the method combined suggested by Suzanne Borel-Maisonny with the " attention; children who learn how to read only with peine": space representation; phonetic epellation; gestural symbolization; concept of number and rate/rhythm; writing.
The second chapter Rééducation of the dyslexiacs comprises the Atlas of the epic of the method of reading .
The gestures suggested are of four type: representative of a written form, an articulatory form, idea of flow, a small scene (Lip reading).
This method of reading known as Phonétique and gestural was popularized thanks to the Woodland work of C. of Sacy: to read and like to read , Paris, ESF, regularly republished since 1963.
