Bordeaux AOC

Name Bordeaux AOC (or generic Bordeaux) is the name of all the Vignoble of Bordeaux most important and most sold in the world. All other names of the vineyard of Bordeaux can also claim with this name. This name is governed by the qualitative standards of INAO.

Production and surface

Annual production: 2500000 hectolitres

Surface: 44000 Hectare S

Authorized maximum output: 55 hectolitres per hectare.

Type of vines

Both principal Cépage S planted are the Cabernet sauvignon and the Merlot. The frank Cabernet is used to a lesser extent. The Small verdot and the Malbec are anecdotic.
