Boran

The boran is a bovine race African.

Origin

It is high very in the past on the plate of Borana in the south of the Ethiopia. Genetic analyzes of its DNA showed that its genome includes/understands 64% of zebu ( Bos indicus ) 24% of bovine European ( Bos taurus ) and African 12% bovine. ( Boss taurus africanus' ) This same study located the last genetic contribution towards 700. It has been thus a race resulting from several origins, but high in strict autarky for 1300 years. Morphology

It wears a fawn-coloured brown dress. The mucous membranes are dark.

Aptitudes

It is an old race multi use, milk supply, meat and leather with its labor force. Today, it is mainly high for its meat.
