Bor porong
The Bor porong is one of the black periods of the Changma/Chakma. Indeed, during the construction of the hydro-electric stopping of Kaptai on the river Borgang or Karnafuli in the years 1950 in Eastern Pakistan, which became in 1971 the Bangladesh, most of the Korpos Mohol/Karpas Mahal (Chittagong Hill Tracts or Jumland is submerged. Thus, with the beginning of the year 1960, more than 100.000 Changma/Chakma found without ground nor financial equalization. They were to then leave this feeder and rice area. They thus left worms the adjoining countries in particular towards the India and Myanmar. And Changma/Chakma indicated this tragic period of their history the “ Bor Porong ”, i.e. the “ Grand Exodus ”, and that means also the beginning of their massacre, genocide and of colonization of Chittagong Hill Tracts= Korpos Mohol/Karpas Mahal by the Moslems.
