Boondocks

Boondocks ( The Boondocks ) is a Televised series of American Animation created by Aaron McGruder according to its Cartoon éponyme and diffused since November 6th, 2005 on television on Adult Swim. In France, the series is diffused on MCA.

Synopsis

This series, of Japanese style, tells the history of two brothers Afro-Americans, Huey and Riley Freeman, and of their grandfather Robert Freeman. Become rich, Robert Freeman decides to leave Chicago for an imaginary city in the south of the United States. Thus Huey and Riley, alive with their grandfather, leave the Ghetto of Chicago to find itself in suburbs mainly white, rich and peaceful. Moreover the title “Boondocks” means “tedious suburbs”.

  • Huey Freeman : Future revolutionist, pessimist while waiting, terrorist intellectual, man-child ten year old, Huey Freeman attend the elementary school J. Edgar Hoover, where it proudly distills penetrating a faintness among white people. He wants to change the world and it will possibly arrive there.
  • Riley Freeman : One is not wary of Riley, mainly because it is small. The fact that it is prone to the fits of anger does not prevent it from keeping the attitude “gangster”. In fact, the major part of its time is devoted to find money to remake its braids, a pastime resolutely “gangster”. Into second year, it changed its name for Riley Escobar. It recently put the hand on a temporary Tatouage which said “gangster”, but this last took off in the bath and there remained only the mention “gag”, a true joke.

  • Grandfather : God alone knows how old is Grand-père. Seriously, nobody really knows it, it has a long life behind him, it was pilot some of the most important events of the history. Malcolm X owed him five dollars when he died. He studies with passion the old martial art which is the Tae Bo. And sometimes, in his sleep, one can hear it grommeler with Dorothy Dandridge, the woman of his dreams: “it is not question only I pay for a film and Pop-corn, good woman! ”

  • Uncle Ruckus : Uncle Ruckus could not hate black people more. Fortunately, in spite of its appearance, it is partly Cherokee, Sioux and Navajo, with an Irish small key .

Comments

With the Quebec and the Canada the series is classified “18 years and more” for its vulgar and offensive contents. For the United States, it is intended for the “17 years or more” and in France, it is prohibited with “less than 10 years”.
