Bono (born Paul David Hewson the May 10th 1960 with Dublin in Ireland -) is the Chanteur group of Rock U2.

Biography

Bono is the second wire of Bob and Iris Hewson (born Iris Rankin) and has a brother, Norman Hewson. It has an agitated childhood and often revolted, it is of curious temperament and constantly in awakening. In February 2003, the French president Jacques Chirac names it Chevalier of the Légion of honor. In December 2005, Bono is declared personality of the year 2005 by the American magazine Time for its combat in favor of Africa, at the sides of Bill Gates and his wife Melinda French. In January 2006, it receives the price of the German media, always for its humanitarian actions.

Moreover, on a proposal from British the Prime Minister Tony Blair, it is made knight of the Ordre of the British Empire by the Queen of England for her many humanitarian actions, but cannot carry the title of Sir, because he is not British citizen nor of a Member State of the the Commonwealth, he can however affix with his signature the letters KBE (Knight off the British Empire). Tony Blair had affirmed that it received this honor to have opened the eyes with the leaders of the G8 on the needs increased for development assistance in Africa. Bono stated to be flattered of this honor and to hope that it will be to him of a help for its representations.
