Boniface of Lausanne

Boniface de Clutinc 1182 /83- 1261, born in the area of Brussels, was bishop of Lausanne (1231 - 1239).

He studies and teaches with Paris with the faculty of arts, then with that of theology (1199 - 1229), then becomes écolâtre with Cologne (1229 - 1231). The pope Gregoire IX imposes it in 1231 on évêché of Lausanne, after one holidays of two year old station. He returns in conflict with the canons of the cathedral. In 1234 it supports the installation of the Dominicains out of the walls of the town of Lausanne, in Pierreabot. After its resignation in 1239, it is withdrawn at the Cistercienne S of the Camber-Holy-Marie, close to Brussels.

It is Béatifié in 1603, Canonisé in 1702.
