Boniface VI († 896), 112e pope.
Originating in Rome, he is elected like successor of Formosa by a faction of Romans. He reigns only fifteen days, with the end of which he dies of the drop or is deposited by the faction spolétaine, according to the traditions.
Its election is cancelled at the time of the council of Rome joined together in 898 by Jean IX.
