Bondues is a common French, located in the department of the Northern (59) and the area Nord-Pas-de-Calais.

Its inhabitants is called Bonduois.

  • the Fort of Bondues, called Strong Lobau, was built by the general Séré de Rivières between 1877-1880. It was useful during the Second world war. Today, it shelters the Musée Résistance.

  • the castle of Bondues of 1703 built by Jean-Andre de Wazieres who had married in 1639 Madeleine de Kessel, girl of Philippe de Kessel manufacturer of the castle of Wattignies in 1640.
