Bondage
The bondage (of the English verb to bind , to bind) is an erotic practice which consists in forcing, in one way or another, son/sa partner. The bondage consists in forcing the body in its totality or partly, generally using cords and of muzzles, but also of adhesive band, thin straps, chains, or any other ustensil ready to exert an influence on the part (S) of the body concerned (S). The complete immobilization of the partner is not necessarily the goal. One will speak thus about bondage of the arms, the legs, the chest/the centres, the size, and so on.
This particular form of sexuality is often comparable wrongly with the Sado-masochisme or BDSM, whereas they are all three of the quite distinct practices. The basic difference is that in the pure bondage, the constraint in oneself is a goal , often esthetics (but not only), whereas in the Sado-masochisme or BDSM it is generally about simple a average , of a tool among others. Moreover, in the pure bondage, one does not find the concepts of dominating/main, dominated/subjected/slave, humiliation/constraint, etc, suitable for the Sado-masochisme and BDSM. The bondage can be regarded as an erotic practice with whole share, which is generally sufficed for itself.
Concept of in particular just BDSM by definition the bondage like one of its practices. The reciprocal one is not true: the bondage is intrinsically independent of BDSM and does not need this last to exist.
With the Japan, the practice of the bondage is declined under the name of Shibari or Kinbaku ; it belongs to one at the same time historical and artistic tradition.
History
It is established that the modern bondage largely draws its origins in the Japanese company, where the use of the cord in all its forms dates at least from the 15th century, and in particular of the Kinbaku, a corporal punishment. The Samurai S could be blocked only by one specialist, the nawashi .
15th century 1560: The bloody period of Shinkoku or the reign of Tokugawa
At that time, the Japanese company lived one dark and tortuous period of war under a reign of dictatorship which lasted until in 1560. According to the rule of Tokugawa, in 1542 one promulga a code presenting 4 degrees of torture based on the cord for the criminals. The first degree was to make use of the cord to whip or to whip, the second was to attach a stone to the cord and to make use of it as masses of weapon, the third consisted in creating points of compression inflicting of the serious and irreversible after-effects, and finally the fourth was the suspension which could sometimes last several days. In the last three degrees, the exit of the punishment was generally death.These methods ended at the same time as the wars, towards 1560. The use of the cord as a tool of torture took place never again since. However, several of these techniques are at the base of the modern use of the cord in its erotic forms most current concerned with the bondage.
1600 - 1878: Period Edo
After the bloody period of Shinkoku, a technique called Hojo-jutsu or hobaku-jutsu was developed. The hobaku-jutsu was an martial art very special employee to catch and retain criminals or prisoners. A precise technique of the use of the cord to attach and force a prisoner was born. Each village had its own method.A captive criminal/could be attached/suspended only as a public, and any observer could say by the way in which the criminal or the prisoner was attached/suspended and by the model of cord employed, which was the social class of the captive criminal/, the crime whom it had made, and also sometimes the age and the profession of the victim.
The use of the cord as forms erotic is very fuzzy for this period, and we did not find any writing clearly being able to inform us about his use.
The modern bondage
At the end of the period of Edo, some Japanese erotic images appeared, where the use of the cord is finally represented. If this erotic use could exist front, one in any case does not know it in any historical direction: only accounts or legends refer there.The modern art of the plays of cord is not a practice of torture as unfortunately many vidéos present it to us. There remains consensual and never crosses the limit of the two protagonists. The bondage is before a a whole relationship of trust between the person who attaches (the bondagor says also bondor ()/the bondageuse one) and the attached person (the bondagette/bondagé or crammed (E)). The responsibility (and even life) of the attached person are constantly between the hands of the person who attaches. If you are this person, always keep with the spirit that since your partner puts himself voluntarily between your hands to be attached (E), you are his responsible, his guard for it, and you must above all honor this confidence.Several serious accidents related to the bondage are listed every year. Never forget the following elementary safety regulations:
- never leave a bound person (or connected) only, without monitoring. If you practice as a recluse, a certain number of additional rules are described in the document concerning with the ;
- Even more important, never leave only, not even a moment, a person bound and muzzled . Accidental smotherings are very rare, but they can intervene very quickly;
- do not pass from cord around the neck. The risks of throttling are too much great;
- Preserve a means of demolishing the cords quickly. Scissors (the scissors with binding are recommended: they are effective and comprise a protection intended to protect the fast skin), knife, and/or nodes. In particular on the level of the chest, of the articulations and certain significant places, to avoid the garrots;
- Prevent the risks of fall and throttling. An immobilized person making a fall behind (with its chair, for example) risk break the neck;
- the “suspensions” require much control. Do not practice them if you are initial;
- the quality of the cord is paramount in order to limit the risks of burn related to frictions (to prefer the natural cord for the suspensions: the cord will remain in place);
- never use running nodes! It is always necessary to use nodes which do not slip. Avoid the nodes known as “tail of pig”, which slip (the node of the laces of shoes). Prefer to them the Reef knot.
- do not insist if your partner expresses an embarrassment or pain. We all are not equal in front of the bondage. Certain characteristics and physical limits are specific to each individual. The flexibility is a good indicator. To supervise particularly: the shoulders (risk of dismantling) and the elbows (if they are not touched easily, do not force!).
The duration of the meetings is very variable, of a few minutes (very strict positions and/or nobody attached beginner) at several hours of sharp (positions easier to hold and/or anybody attached tested). In all the cases, do not take useless risks, and think of regularly hydrating the attached person.
The photographs, vidéos and texts of fictions which one can find on Internet are selected according to their esthetics and/or of their impact. The positions are generally real, but they are often more complicated to realize than it does not appear to with it, and cannot always be reproduced simply and/or without risks. Do not risk you there if you are initial.
Why people like to be made bind?
The people who find erotic to be made bind, find it for various reasons:
- the reason more often quoted or at least called upon, is a release of inhibitions and responsibilities, insofar as the bound people have, to a certain extent, entrusted the keys of their situation to a third. - Or quite simply, like a complement “pricking” with the sexual practices, to test!
Some complementary reasons:
- Like ones complement a fetishism given (fetishism of the matters like leather, latex or vinyl, fetishism of the lower parts, bottoms, the heels switches, etc).
