Bonaventure of Bar
Bonaventure de Bar , born in 1700 with Paris where he died on September 1st 1729, is a painter of kind French.
Bonaventure of Bar was a pupil of Claude Guy Hallé. The Musée of Louvre has of him a pastoral festival , table which was worth to him to be approved and received (the same day - remarkable fact) the September 25th 1728 with the royal Académie of painting and sculpture as a painter “in the particular talent of the figure like Teniers and Wouwermans”. It shared this honor with Chardin, received like “painter in the talent of the animals and the fruits”.
Of Bar was not very assiduous with the meetings of the Academy, it assisted to with it only twice, the last, on December 31st 1728, at the time of the reception of Pater.
He probably died in the marquis Jean-François Leriget of Faye, which was its principal patron, Rue of Sevres, after being there falls ill at the beginning of the year 1729.
Follower of Watteau, like François Octavien, François-Jerome Chantereau, Lancret, Quillard.
