Bonao
Bonao is a city of the central Cibao, in Dominican Republic, and is the capital of the province of Monseñor Nouel.
It was one of the first establishments which were rested by the Spanish colonists in the country. The first mine of Or was discovered there and it is also the first place where the colonists cultivated the Canne with sugar.
The carnival of Bonao is the more important festivity of the city, it is moreover one of most attractive and creative of all the country and without any doubt one of most popular. It takes place every Sunday, during all the month February and part of March, with the park Duarte and in its neighborhoods.
In Bonao, the mines are always in activity. In addition to agriculture and breeding, there is an industrial activity and commercial. The agricultural produce most important is: the Coffee, the Cocoa, the Rice, the Yucca, the Coconut, the Banana and the orange.
