Bombyx of bramble

The bombyx of the bramble or the polyphagous or ring of the devil is a Lépidoptère pertaining to Lasiocampidae.

  • Distribution: Western Europe with the Central Asia.
  • Scale of the male: from 18 to 25 Misters
  • Period of flight: from May to July.
  • Habitat: waste lands and meadows.
  • Plant-hosts: many species.
The caterpillars winter at the mature stage and are chrysalident in spring.
