Bombyx of Millière

The bombyx of millière (or lasiocampe of the poplar ) is a Lépidoptère pertaining to Lasiocampidae.

  • Distribution: south of the France, Iberian peninsula, south of the the Alps, Italy, Sicily.

  • Scale of the male: from 16 to 19 Misters
  • Period of flight: from October at January.
  • Habitat: wood.
  • Plant-hosts: leafy trees and especially Larch.
  • Synonymous: Poecilocampa canensis (Millière, 1875)
