Boldine

The boldine is the main thing Alcaloïde which the sheet of the shrub Boldo contains.

The boldine with the property to mask the odor of the Cocaine and was used for this purpose by the traficants.

Pharmacological properties

  • This alkaloid is Cholagogue (stimulates the secretion of bile, and thus supports digestion. The boldine assistance also to treat the gallstones)
  • the boldine is hépatoprotectrice (protection against the affections of the liver and the gall bladder).
