Bola de Ouro

The Bola de Ouro (which means Ballon of Gold in French) is an allotted distinction each year by the Brazilian magazine “Placar”. It rewards the best player for the Brazilian championship since 1973. The classification is made on the basis of note allotted to each match by the journalists of Placar.

The title had not been allotted in 1971 and 1972, but the following players had the best notation:

It should be noted that there are four players who are not Brazilian in this prize list: Agustín Cejas (Argentinian), Atílio Ancheta (Uruguyan), Elias Figueroa (Chilean) and Carlos Tevez (Argentinian).
