Boissy-l\' Aillerie
Boissy-l' Aillerie is a common French, located in the department of the Val-d'Oise and the area Île-de-France. Its inhabitants is Buxerien () S.
Geography
The village is located in the valley of the Viosne, small river of the French Vexin and with the doors of the agglomeration of Cergy-Pontoise, to approximately 35 km in the North-West of Paris.The commune is served by a station of the line Paris - Gisors-Junction.
Heraldic
History
The name of the commune comes from the Latin anthroponyme Buttius or Buccius or from Latin buxus , boxwood or bush, and of aillery, marshy and bushy ground.
The roadway Jules César and the Roman source are the oldest visible traces of occupation on the territory of the commune. The village was given to the Abbaye of Saint-Denis in 1071. Located on a strategic way of Beauvais at the the Seine, Boissy-l' Aillerie was the first strengthened bastion of Pontoise. The village was surrounded by an enclosure of nine turns and four doors.
Included at the beginning in the perimeter of the new City of Cergy-Pontoise, the village was voluntarily withdrawn from it thereafter. There remained a rural district of the Vexin, having nevertheless an important industrial park in the north of the commune.
Administration
The common one belongs to the jurisdiction of authority, of great authority as well as trade of Pontoise.
Monuments and places of visit
the church Saint-Andrew of the 12th century and 13th centuries was built with the site of an older sanctuary. The bell-tower was touched by the lightning in 1781 and collapsed on the church during the night the September 25th 1796. The building will remain in ruin until in 1848. The church is finally mainly rebuilt in 1850 on a rectangular level: the chorus of the 13th century prolongs the nave of only two spans but great height.
the manor of Réal (on Right Bank of Viosne) date of the second part of the 16th century. It has turrets of angle, and a curious isolated tower, which leans towards Viosne.
