Body Wars

Body Wars is an attraction of the park EPCOT of Walt Disney World Resort, located in the house Wonders off Life . It opened the October 19th 1989 and uses a system of flight simulator equivalent to Star Turns .

The January 4th 2005, Disney made the official decision to open the house and thus attraction only during the holidays and the summer months.

Attraction

Attraction is a flight simulator taking on board 45 passengers for a voyage in blood flow. Four vessels of 26 tons each one are present in attraction and make it possible to simulate the microscopic voyage already under consideration in 1966 in the film the fantastic Voyage .

The film is a demonstration of an medical examination of routine practiced by an immunologist, Dr. Cynthia Lair, already present in the body of the patient and that the visitors must join. But as in medicine nothing is completely foreseeable, the passengers will be embarked by the blood flow, shaken and struck in the meanders of the human body.

History

The visitor enters the queue as a member of " the team of observation" and the loudspeakers the formless one which it must pass by level 1 and level 2 of the screens of dermic purification before entering the vehicle of examination. Messages inform the visitor on various bays of exploration.

On a screen, Dr. Cynthia Lair miniaturized to observe a splinter, warns the visitors whom they must take on board in the module Bravo 229 to be them also miniaturized in order to join it. It indicates that the pilot will be the Braddock Captain.

Inside the module Cheer 229, the visitors go from bay to the room of miniaturization where technicians point a beam of particles on the vessel. Thus narrowed, the vessel is injected under the skin. White globules are starting the splinter when the vessel joined Doctor Lair. Whereas it launches out in the counting of the cells, it is aspired by the flow of a capillary vessel. The captain continues it and arrives in a zone not - authorized. The vessel crosses the heart while passing by the ventricle right then arrives at the lungs where the lady doctor is attacked by a white globule.

The captain uses his lasers to release the doctor but the vessel arrives at court of energy. Lair suggests joining the brain to recover energy. The vessel passes by the left auricle then the artery to go towards the brain. After having struck a neuron, the vessel finds its energy and can arise to find its normal size.
