Bobby Valentine
Roberto " Bobby" Valentine " El Rey del Bajo " (the king of the low ), Bassiste born the June 9th 1941 in Orocovis (Puerto Rico) is a . Being young, his/her father taught to him to play of the Guitare. When his/her mother died in 1947, it followed his older sister in Coamo where it studied the music. At 11 years it gains a local Radio-hook with its trio. One of its professors recommends it to the academy music Jose Ignacio Quinton where he learns the Trompette. In 1956, it emigrates with New York where it enters to the university while continuing the music. In 1958, it plays with Joe Quijano and little time afterwards with Willie Rosario. In 1963, it plays with Tito Rodriguez with which it carries out two rounds with the Venezuela. It carries out its first arrangements for Tito Rodriguez and occasionally for Charlie Palmieri, Joe Quijano, Willie Rosario, and Ray Barretto. In 1965, it forms its own group and sign a contract with the Fania. It enregisre the albums " El Mensajero " and " Young Man With has Horn " and a concert gives to Puerto Rico. Its bassite not being able to play, it finds somebody to replace it with the trumpet and will play the low one in the place; thereafter, it will continue to play of low within its group and occasionally in those of Willie Rosario, Raphy Leavitt and Vicentico Valdes. It becomes the arranger of the Fania All Stars. In 1975, Bobby Valentine leaves Fania and forms its own label " Bronco Records". It records " Goes in Carcel " Flight 1&2, recorded " live" with " El Oso Blanco" , the penitentiary of the State of Puerto Rico. In 1978, the singer of salsa Cano Estremera integrates its orchestra. They record " Impacto Created " , " Siempre Formed " of it; and " Cuando Uno Enamora ". Bobby Valentine also collaborré with:
