Bobby Ray Inman

Bobby Ray Inman , born on April 4th, 1931 with Rhonesboro in the Texas, is a Admiral of the US Navy with the retirement which occupied of very important functions within the American intelligence services , of which that of director of the National Security Agency (NSA).

Career

Inman begins its career in 1961 as analyst at the NSA (Bureau Navy Field Operational Intelligence Office). It is named director of the Naval Intelligence (Navy), in 1970. It works there with the NSA on the projects of listenings of the underwater cables of telecommunications. In 1977, it is with the head of NSA it will organize escapes (distilled) for the press thus neutralizing its attacks. He becomes however a man a little too public for one that which is supposed to maintain the greatest secrecies of planet. However under its direction the NSA will take more and more weight vis-a-vis the CIA.

The election of Ronald Reagan in 1981 will cost him its place. It will be named as director of the CIA then under the direction of William J. Casey and will remain only one year there. Bill Clinton will want to appoint it secretary with defense but old rumors concerning a possible homosexuality will come to break this nomination. Inman also occupied a seat with the board of directors of the Council one Foreign Relations and in that of the company Dell. Inman had bonds with the company International Signal and Control (ISC), which is repurchased by Ferranti in 1987. Ferranti went bankrupt in 1993 because of the debts of the ISC.

In 2006, Inman criticized the use of the NSA by the administration Bush, it is more the reprocessed high ranking official of the American information to have emitted such a criticism publicly.
