Bobby Leiter
Bobby Edward Leiter (born with the Canada) is a former professional player of Hockey which evolving/moving at the station of center in the National league of hockey.
The career of Leiter started extremely well, whereas it gained in 1959 the Coupe Memorial with the Braves of Winnipeg in company of future stars of the LNH, such Ted Green and Gary Bergman. At the end of a few seasons with Winnipeg and the Frontenacs de Kingston, the Bruins of Boston gave him its chance in the LNH.
The four seasons which followed were rather disappointing for the Leiter young person, limited to only some short passages in the LNH during which it could not really express his talent, direction of the team entrusting a defensive role to him, him which was of offensive nature. These four seasons in were marked by an infection with the Tuberculose which made him miss a complete season almost, then by a fracture with an arm which made some to him miss a good part of another. During its absence, Bruins had consolidated their manpower with high-speed motorboats of the hardening of Phil Esposito and Bobby Orr; when Leiter was again ready to fit the shoes, Bruins did not need more its services.
Thus he became a player of the minor leagues with the Bears de Hershey of the American Ligue of hockey until in 1971, year to which the young people Penguins de Pittsburgh entrusted to him a station of regular within the team. He hardly rained himself there however; trainer-chief Red Kelly had tendency to consign at the end of bench players which made errors, which brought the little tried out Leiter to be played with prudence, of fear of finding itself nailed with the bench.
It was fished out the following year by the Flames of Atlanta at the time of the RepĂȘchage of expansion LNH 1972; this acquisition marked the end of waiting of Leiter, which was seen granted much time of ice and which was seen encouraged by its trainer Bernard Geoffrion to let be expressed its offensive talent. It quickly became a kind of reincarnation of Wally Hergesheimer, circling around the unfavourable net as this last made nearly twenty years before in order to recover the returns of throws to place them behind the unfavourable guard, while piling up mentions of assistance on several goals of its fellow-members. At its first three seasons with Atlanta, Leiter cumulated a total of 140 points. It withdrew competition in 1976 after having shared the season between the Flames and the Cowboys of Calgary of the Worldwide association of hockey.
